EXTRACURRICULAR

Purpose: To develop a network between artists and creative communities  venues for the production and display of art. To raise social consciousness and political awareness throughout the greater arts community and the communities in which we liveTo make artists and students aware of education, employment, funding opportunities, arts related services, and events in their respective areas, and to eventually provide funding for artists and other organizations in the form of grants.

·       PRATT ARTIST’S LEAGUE
        2006 - 2008
Purpose:  The Pratt Artist’s League serves as a liaison between the administration, faculty, and student body of Pratt Institute. We provide opportunities for students to establish and further their careers in the New York art world through such events as open studios, on-campus and off-campus shows. In addition, we have a website that contains featured student work and profiles, valuable links, faculty-chosen notable exhibition lists, and a calendar of events. We also work with other Pratt fine art activities, such as the Visiting Artist Series.

·       KENT STATE UNIVERSITY ART CONFERENCE
        2003 & 2004
Purpose:  To provide a forum for the exchange of theories, ideas, lectures, papers, and demonstrations for the purpose of educating, enlightening and encouraging the personal and professional advancement of those in the arts.
The Art Club at Kent State extended a nationwide invitation for those interested in presenting papers, demonstrating, lecturing and sharing theories and/or techniques with others in their field, the public, students, and faculty. 
Other workshops included resume writing with Christine Havice, KSU Director of School of Art, and panel discussions included professionalism in the field of art, with question and answer formats.

CHARITY WORK  

·       CLEVELAND INSTITUTE OF ART, Charity Horse Auction, 2004
Participating artists paint/embellish the provided, unpainted, wooden rocking horse to be auctioned at a fundraiser benefiting Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
